I reset/repotted the aloe in the bucket to assist with its recovery after it freezing. There’s a pot with catnip seeds in it. There’s a smaller pot with basil seeds in it. One of the spider plants is a loss so I put the pot outside. The other one is still hanging on.
I transplanted the last aloe shoot that was with the aloe-in-the-bucket. I now have 5 aloe plants. I’ve noticed keeping the shoots in small pots seems to limit them to that pot. There’s one really nice looking small aloe that’s doing quite well at the kitchen sink/window. No more transplanting of aloe shoots, unless I can give them away.
I sprayed some water/vinegar mix on the daisy, the lavender, and the still-hanging-on spider plant since I seem to have bugs around those.
We’ll see how stuff goes. I’m not sure it’s warm enough to have the catnip seeds outside but they are also seeds from last season. Does that matter?
Hopefully the basil will start growing and then I can start something else from seed. I’m not starting multiple things in multiple small pots and then not knowing which is which. That’s silly.
I might give up on spider plants and just keep pots of cat grass continually. We’ll have to see. I still need to situate/reorganize the patio but I’d prefer it to be warmer first.
This is the first time ever… and not because I’m too young… that I’ve actually been looking forward to seeing a new president take the oath of office.
Are you a gamer? Do you enjoy D&D games in any shape or form? Do you read OOTS? (If you know D&D and don’t read OOTS, you should.) Do you donate to charities? Anyways… if you answered yes to all of these. Don’t contribute to this charity anymore. The just mentioned charity refused the money raised during GenCon 2008 because it was partly raised through the selling of horrible, evil, scary D&D materials.
Simply based on the prevalency of the Internet, video games, computer games, and, well, who knows what else, this is stupid. Especially when it’s money for starving children. This is, bullshit. I can’t hope this charity doesn’t receive less money since they help starving children, but I do have to wonder whether other charities that help starving children deserve the money more. There does definitely seem to be similar charities that work more efficiently.

It turns out now is a tough time to buy a hybrid for a number of reasons. The Civic Hybrid might be too small for you. The Prius is a little funny shaped (OP and I couldn’t see the hood/front of the car). Any of the other hybrids were either out of our price range, or not worth the name. An Escape Hybrid is silly IMO. Also why buy a current generation hybrid, like the Prius, when supply cannot meet demand and salesman are basically telling you they don’t have to offer deals on these cars, they can even jack up the price if they want? And, then there’s the fact that new Priuses are coming out beginning next year.
I also have to say the Scion xB (the new and redesigned “box”) has been ruined on the inside by the monster center console. I didn’t like the Honda Accord sedan and had too many misgivings about the Honda Accord Coupe. He likes the Honda Accord Coupe.
We also test drove a VW Rabbit. Him first. Me second, a few days later. It took him a little while to realized he liked the Rabbit and liked a lot of things about the Rabbit. He really wanted the Accord Coupe at first – which was funny looking and had a poorly organized dash and horrible back seat. Besides the cosmetics, the Rabbit has a better warranty and nicer safety features or features in general – like the full size spare and the 10 speaker sound system.
So, we decided on the Rabbit. We aren’t going to buy the car for like another month… but we’d both like to get it done and over with. Also, the VW dealership was the only dealership we didn’t have a bad experience.
Right about the time I started the homeopathy treatment and went off allergy pills (maybe a month before) we bought a new loveseat to replace a hand me down couch. The loveseat has down in it. The down is becoming more and more of a problem. Recently, because of falling and injuring my knee, I’ve spent a lot of time sitting on the aforementioned loveseat. My asthma is pissed. I’m now needing daily (twice yesterday) breathing treatments with the nebulizer. It’s still not as bad as when I got the flu though. And I’ve just got a cough for the most part. I’m not sure if the sudafed to combat the allergies/sinus problems or the aspirin/ibuprofen have affected the asthma either. But, today should tell me, no more aspirin after the dose I took this morning and no more ibuprofen for now. All of this started with a bad bout with my allergies too! Just another reason as far as I’m concerned to no longer continue the homeopathy treatment – or at least not with the last doctor.
It turns out searching for a couch with no down in it could be expensive. Shopping from IKEA it means we might be purchasing leather.
On the other hand, I’ve discovered that a heating pad on my back helps calm down tight chest muscles – side effect of coughing. I might start using the heating pad on my back any time I use the nebulizer.
I got my purse from LLBean yesterday. It’s niiiiice. It’s too big though. Told OP that if I ever buy a leather purse again, if it doesn’t actually smell of leather…. that means don’t buy it. This has lovely construction. There’s a few things I have to get used to. Like the wallet. The wallet is huge but I think I will end up falling in love with it. The bigger wallet is also easier to find in the bigger purse. The purse actually is sorta backpack in construction.
I guess if anyone reading this blog has any question of whether the writer (me!) is female… this will probably clear it up. Any question of whether or not I am indeed not the average female will probably also be cleared up.
I currently have a brown leather purse I purchased from a Wilson Leather Outlet. Well, today I switched back to the previous purse I was using. The Wilson leather purse has worn like shit and is beginning to look like shit. There appears to be some kind of double layer to the leather, something is wearing off the leather. There is where I point out I had a very nice leather purse from Wilson’s which I bought in a regular store. I used it for about 2 years before trashing it because one of my cats (who I had to give up not long after for a number of reasons) peed on it. Not really worth it to get a 60-70 dollar purse cleaned… easier to buy another purse.
The previous purse I switched back to is actually a faux leather/as in vinyl probably purse that came from Target. That purse has worn better than the Wilson’s purse!! Needless to say, even accounting for the fact that I bought it from an outlet, I’m very hesitant to purchase another purse from Wilson’s. Oh. I still have my leather wallet I bought when I bought my first Wilson’s purse. It’s holding up nicely!
My problem. I hate the current trend that has attacked purses/handbags/etc. Everything that I saw on Coach’s website looks like ass in some shape or form. I’ve looked at: Dillards, JC Penney’s, Target, Wilson’s and a number of other websites. Even places like overstock.com. I found out Fossil makes purses. I wanted to see if Bass still makes purses and if they have a website… but no luck there.
I did find a nice looking purse on LLBean’s website. But, it’s 150 bucks so I’m not going to just drop the cash on it. (Being the full time college student/part time self employed person that I am.) It guess it’s so difficult for me to find a purse/handbag I like because I prefer: leather, a shoulder strap, more than one pocket/or compartment because of what I always carry and a simple look.
Simple doesn’t describe any overpriced monstrosity that Coach is currently selling.
